Pretty fair moving east, with Eastern Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes enjoying a Long John Index of 1 today. Canada Wide Forecast - January 18, 2012

Y'know, we like the cold and all, but when the temperature starts pushing windchills of -40 and Colder, we think that goes TO FAR! Much of Alberta and Saskatchewan woke up to Long John Index's of 5! Thankfully, the temperature will ease off a bit, but this is about as Cold as it gets (Knock on some sort of wood). Everything from the Rockies to the Ontario border will be a Long John Index of 4! Not exactly balmy in the BC, Ontario and Quebec either! Even Vancouver will have a Long John Index today! Should you need a tropicla get away, we recommend Halifax, where it will be +7 C today.

Canada Wide Forecast - January 16, 2012

Welcome to the 2012 Winter Season everybody! The temperature fell faster than Bre-X Stock over the weekend on the prairies! No more mild winter in Alberta, and Saskatchewan, at least not for this week! Edmonton will be planted right smack in the middle of a Long John Index of 4 all week. Ditto for Calgary. Should be some snow scattered in there as well. Will be cold out East as well, but the winter bragging rights will truly belong out west! Grab your Long Johns everybody!

Congrats Sudbury where they will not crack a #longjohnindex of 3 today! HUZZAH! Meanwhile It's still balmy, WAY TOO BALMY out West! Will be +10 and Sunny in Calgary today! How are you supposed to shovel that? Really cold up north, except for Whitehorse! Iqaluit, Inuvik and Yellowknife will rock a 4 today!

Canada Wide Forecast - November 16, 2011

Alberta prepares to plunge into an Arctic Front, or Back, or Something, mostly to keep Saskatchewan company, because it's already IN that Arctic blast! Meanwhile, NEAR the Artic, Inuvik reaches a Long John Index of 5, it's still Melty in Iqaluit, and Eastern Canada still hops around in +10 heat. Enjoy it while it lasts!
